SDW 2012 is an international event for technology suppliers, security document printers, infrastructure providers and integrators in the fast-moving security document market place. At SDW 2012, more than 50 international speakers from accross the security document and anti-counterfeiting fields, address several interesting themes.

Leveraging OS technologies for secure electronic documents

This year, Tomas Gustavsson, CTO at PrimeKey Solutions, holds PrimeKey's SDW 2012 presentation on 23 May: Leveraging Open Source technologies for secure electronic documents.

Both current and future security documents, such as passports, ids, driver licenses and tachographs, all require one or several public key infrastructures. PrimeKey's presentation will outline how to produce and use all of these security documents, using available open source solutions.

  • We will explain how security document producers can use open source CSCA, Document Signer, CVCA, DV and Inspection Systems in the best and most efficient way. And what pitfalls to avoid.
  • Do you consider open source as simply being cost free? There's more to it! PrimeKey will advice you on how to reap the full benefits of open source and open standards.
  • Finally we will display real world use cases where open source software is part of the production of millions of security documents.
